LMC reserves the right to decline any request for an extension. At the same time, we want to be fair and considerate of various extenuating circumstances. To be clear, there are limited criteria that would warrant an extension being granted on any given assignment. This includes: (a) major illness / hospitalization, (b) birth of a child, (c) death in the family, and (d) natural disasters.
Other reasons given may be considered, but if we deem that the reason for needing an extension boils down to “busyness” and “poor time management,” we will not grant an extension. We hold our students to high levels of personal responsibility and academic excellence. Further, we make clear to prospective students that they “count the costs” and order their lives accordingly to take on the workload of our program.
Likewise, LMC does not offer “extra credit” or “make up assignments” for the benefit of the professor (this makes extra work for them) and to promote discipline in the student’s life. Whether an extension is given to an original class assignment or not, the class curriculum remains the same.
Therefore, please fill out the form below and we will get back to you with our final decision.
